Even though many of us dream of the perfect lawn, the climatein the Piedmont certainly doesn’t make it easy! Come learn tips and trick forkeeping a more sustainable lawn, as well as environmentally-friendly lawnalternatives.
Join Ashley Troth (Extension Agriculture Agent) and theExtension Master Gardener Volunteers of Durham County and learn how tomake the most of your lawn area. Participants will learn how to evaluate siteconditions and select appropriate turf species, manage soil fertility based onsoil tests, minimize lawns to only areas where they are used, and incorporatemultiple practices to reduce or eliminate pesticide use.
