Impact Stories
In 2024 alone, over 4,000 Master Gardener volunteers dedicated more than 236,000 hours of service to North Carolina communities. Guided by NC State Extension professionals, we shared our passion and expertise with nearly 300,000 North Carolinians, delivering trusted, research-based education across the state.Through teaching classes, tending demonstration gardens, and supporting youth and therapeutic horticulture programs, we help people grow smarter, greener and healthier. Our volunteer work empowers individuals to cultivate not just plants, but also stronger and healthier communities.
