Even though many of us dream of the perfectlawn, the climate in the Piedmont certainly doesn’t make it easy! Come learntips and trick for keeping a more sustainable lawn, as well asenvironmentally-friendly lawn alternatives.
Join Ashley Troth (Extension Agriculture Agent)and the Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Durham County and learnhow to make the most of your lawn area. Participants will learn how to evaluatesite conditions and select appropriate turf species, manage soil fertilitybased on soil tests, minimize lawns to only areas where they are used, andincorporate multiple practices to reduce or eliminate pesticide use.
