While many of our favorite ornamental and edibleplants have been bred to be attractive to humans, often insects, fungi, and bacteria find them irresistibletoo! By taking a holistic approach focused on plant health, proper problemidentification, and a developing clear management strategy, you can come upwith a plan to protect garden friends while keeping foes at bay.
Join Ashley Troth (Extension Agriculture Agent)and the Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Durham County and learnhow to develop a holistic, integrated approach to pest management. Participantswill learn how to distinguish among different kinds of insect damage, the majortypes of plant pathogens, and how to reduce weed pressure. Organic managementstrategies will be emphasized.
