- Sharing a Passion for Plants – Master Gardener volunteers contribute their time and knowledge to help grow NC State Extension Gardener resources for everyone!
- Promoting Pollinators and Native Plants – Across North Carolina, volunteers with the Extension Master Gardener program educate local community members about pollinators, native plants, and wildlife.
- Connecting People with Plants – By connecting people with plants in their local communities, Master Gardener volunteers share the benefits of sustainable gardening.
- Finding the Best Basil – Master Gardener volunteers are working with Extension agents to identify the tasty and disease resistant basil varieties for home and community gardens.
- Congratulations, International Award Winners! Two NC State Extension Master Gardener volunteer projects were among seven selected as first place winners in the International Master Gardener Search for Excellence!
Across our state, over 3800 volunteers with the NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ program work under the leadership of Extension agents to strengthen and expand Extension’s delivery of science-based gardening education to North Carolinians.
Their efforts connect people with the benefits of plants and gardening and empower North Carolinians to cultivate healthy plants, landscapes, ecosystems, and communities.
